Waste Management, Cold Canyon

This upstream Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project captures landfill gas from the Waste Management Cold Canyon Landfill in San Luis Obispo, CA, and converts it into verified clean energy. Production is managed by Toro Energy of California and issued under the RNGA ENERGY GROUP, L.L.C. registry account. Each Qualified Energy Transfer (QET) token represents one MMBtu of verified RNG production, certified under the GHG Protocol (GHGP) framework and quantified using the CA GREET 3.0 methodology.

Buyers purchasing QETs from this project receive traceable, serialized certificates that can be used for Scope 1 emissions accounting, regulatory compliance, and voluntary sustainability reporting.
